Illegal Poachers Leave Dead Wolf Tied to Street Sign

A dead wolf tied to a stop sign was found this morning by rural residents near Canga de Onis in Asturias, Spain. Depredations of livestock by wolves has been so bad this year that many ranchers in the Picos de Europa have sold their animals and abandoned ranching. Yet legally obtaining permission to hunt wolves can be a lengthy and involved process, hence last night's clandestine action.
